Inc. is a developer and owner of multi-family real estate throughout
the mid-west and southeast United States, primarily focusing
on affordable or sub-market conventional markets. Our portfolio
includes successful projects across the country, serving very
diverse communities. With a strong availability of capital from
various sources, including non-profit organizations and equity
partners, we aggressively pursue real estate targets that have
a desperate need of new management.

under-managed real estate opportunities into high performing
assets, realizing the property’s economic and social potential.
Since its inception, HSI has acquired, repositioned and developed
more than $250M and over 10,000 units of multi-family real estate
across the country.
Our Development Team is capable of handling property acquisitions,
financing and dispositions. We provide these services working
in conjunction with our investment partners, financial institutions,
and management operations. We also offer market analysis, temporary
or transitional management and financing services to third-party
clients.
We are actively seeking apartment acquisitions in our current
geographical footprint, but are open to other ventures that
fall outside these markets. We generally seek affordable and
conventional opportunities over 125 units, with a particular
interest in:
- Under-performing or under-managed properties in need of repositioning.
- Distressed and/or older properties in need of renovation.
- Properties that are good candidates for tax-exempt LIHTCs and/or bond financing.
- Under-performing newer properties experiencing soft market conditions.
- Management opportunities that would lead to future acquisition of under-performing asset.
